Abstract

Ancak craftsmen in Banjar Sega, Bunutan Village, Abang District, Karangasem Bali, are bamboo craftsmen who make baskets for chicken baskets or cages. Ancak business is one that can support the lives of farmers and ranchers. Ancak craftsmen by the name of the group "Sinar Karya" consist of 10 households whose work is done in groups. The problem faced by the artisans is the disposing of waste waste which disrupts river ecosystems and environmental pollution, as well as the lack of empowerment of waste utilization to improve the economic welfare of the artisans. Porak production with a monotonous design does not provide a change in improving welfare in the economic, HR, and the number of basic products. The method used to achieve the objectives is interviews in the form of pre-test and test post to explore the knowledge of members and the design used to be developed is RAA (rural rapid appraisal) and PRA (participant rapid appraisal). Learning by doing is used to measure the level of skill when providing knowledge of design of woven shapes and accessories originating from processing solid waste into alternative multifunctional bags to replace plastic bags and new products in the form of activated charcoal
